An academic conference entitled R-E-S-P-E-C-T-A-B-I-L-I-T-Y: Black Women’s Studies since ‘Righteous Discontent
Odell Zeigler IV, was the band Leader for Akua Naru’s Concert, which was held on September 20, 2019. This concert concluded the academic conference entitled “R-E-S-P-E-C-T-A-B-I-L-I-T-Y: Black Women’s Studies since ‘Righteous Discontent’,” and was hosted by Brown University’s Center for the Study of Race and Ethnicity in America (CSREA). The concert was held at the Rites and Reason Theatre, also known as the George Houston Bass Performing Arts Space (BassPas), in Churchill House, 155 Angell Street, Providence, RI.
